Description
MOESIA INFERIOR, Nicopolis ad Istrum. Elagabalus (AD 218-222). Æ (17mm, 2.99g). Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Serpent emerging from a cista mystica. Extremely rare, only two other examples known (CNG E-244, 287; G&M 122, 1685).
