Obverse description: Legend: GALLIENVS AV[G], with the terminal letter weak. Radiate bust right; shoulder detail appears to represent armour, although any additional drapery is uncertain.
Reverse description: Legend: SALVS AVG. Nude male figure, identified as Apollo, standing facing with head left; right hand holds a downward-pointing branch, and left arm rests on a bowl-topped tripod to the viewer’s right. Exergue: [P]XV, with the first character indistinct. No separate field mark is securely readable.
Description and condition notes: Irregular flan with dark surfaces, contrasting brown-green deposits and granular texture. Wear and surface obscuration affect the portrait, shoulder detail and parts of the legends.
