Lakonia, Lakedaimon (Sparta), c. 35-31 BC. Æ Dupondius (27 mm, 8.09 g). Uncertain magistrate.
Laureate head of Apollo right; [magistrate’s name behind]. / Draped bust of Artemis right, quiver over shoulder; Λ-A flanking, two monograms across lower field; all within wreath.
Grunauer group XXII, series 2, 5-6 var. ; BCD Peloponnesos 916 var. Very rare.
