Obverse description: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG. Radiate bust right with drapery; cuirass details are less distinct. Beaded border partly visible.
Reverse description: VIRTVTI AVGVSTI. Nude Hercules standing facing, head right, with his right hand resting at his hip and his left hand on a club supported by a rock; lion skin hangs beside the club. Ground line beneath the feet; no visible field letters or exergual inscription.
Description and condition notes: Irregular flan with edge notches and a small split below the portrait. Grey surfaces with darker patches, fine surface roughness and scattered marks. Some flattening of detail, but both legends and the principal designs remain readable.
